This is one of three symbols representing Confucianism. Confucianism’s primary goal is to produce harmony. This symbol is the water symbol. The water symbol represents calmness and serenity. In Chinese philosophy, water is associated with winter. Winter and water can be together because they are both associated with stillness. Water is a life source, and all life must grow and flourish.
